Salt City Coffee

Aaron began roasting coffee as a hobby, and over the course of several years, evolved it into a business. One day, Aaron, and his wife, Maria, were walking their neighborhood in Syracuse, and they began dreaming of what it would look like to live and work in the city. A vision for a cafe was borne. Intentionally looking for a place in or near neighborhoods, they found the cafe’s home on W. Onondaga Street; close to downtown, surrounded by 3 distinct and diverse neighborhoods, and on the cusp of a business district that is hoping for a comeback.

They took an old 1860’s mansion (read an article about their opening here), that was recently the McMahon/Ryan Child Advocacy building, and created an “extended living room” feel to it.

Salt City Coffee feels they roast the finest beans around, brew the finest coffee with those beans, enjoy conversations with their customers, and provide a space that creates meaningful connections with people from all walks of life.
